Trading as: MarryDenmark

2. Nature of the service

MarryDenmark provides private specialist handling of international marriage applications and related coordination services in Denmark. We act as a specialist service provider and intermediary. We are not affiliated with the Danish government or any Danish municipality.

Our services include case assessment, document guidance, application preparation and submission, and ceremony coordination where included in the selected service. The scope of each service is described on the Services & Prices page and confirmed in writing before the service starts.

3. No guarantees

We prepare and submit applications on behalf of clients to the best of our ability. We cannot guarantee:

  • Approval of any application by the Danish authorities
  • Any specific processing timeframe
  • Availability of a specific ceremony date or municipality
  • Any specific outcome relating to immigration, visa or travel permission

Processing times and outcomes are determined solely by the relevant Danish authorities. These are outside our control and cannot be influenced by any private service.

4. Government fees

The official Danish application fee (DKK 2,100 as of July 2025, subject to change) is payable directly to the Danish authorities and is separate from all MarryDenmark service fees. This fee is generally non-refundable once the application has been submitted, regardless of the outcome or any subsequent change of plans by the client.

5. Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, complete and truthful information
  • Providing documents in the quality and format requested
  • Ensuring they can legally enter and remain in Denmark for the duration of the marriage process
  • Responding to requests for information within the agreed timeframes
  • Obtaining any required translations, apostilles or legalisations unless the relevant add-on has been agreed in writing

6. Documents

Do not send passports or other sensitive identity documents via ordinary email or WhatsApp before receiving individual instructions from MarryDenmark. Instructions for secure document submission are provided after the service begins.

MarryDenmark handles all documents received in connection with a case with care and in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. Service fees and payment

The service fee is confirmed in writing before the service starts. Payment terms are communicated at the time of confirmation. MarryDenmark service fees are separate from any official, government, municipal, translation, apostille, courier or other third-party costs.

MarryDenmark reserves the right to decline or discontinue a case if the circumstances presented by the client change materially after the service has started, if the client provides materially inaccurate or incomplete information, or if the requirements of a case fall outside the scope of the selected service.

8. Limitation of liability

MarryDenmark's liability in connection with any service is limited to the service fee paid for that specific service. We are not liable for delays or decisions by the Danish authorities or any municipality, for costs arising from cancelled travel or accommodation, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at marrydenmark.com/terms-and-conditions. Changes do not affect services already confirmed in writing.
