When you submit the case assessment form on this website, we collect the information you provide, which may include:
- Name, email address and phone number (Partner 1)
- Nationality and country of residence (both partners)
- Information about previous marriages and current Schengen entry basis
- Preferred wedding dates and locations
- Whether you already hold a Certificate of Marital Status
- Your free-text description of the case
- Service preference and consent choices
Once you become a client, we may also receive documents relating to your case, such as identification documents, civil status documents and correspondence with the Danish authorities. These are handled in accordance with this policy and our Terms & Conditions.
Purpose and legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Case assessment and service delivery — to assess your case, prepare and submit the marriage application and coordinate the related process. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Communication — to respond to your inquiry and keep you updated on your case. Legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
- Marketing communications — if you have given explicit consent, to send you occasional relevant information. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data related to a completed case for as long as required to fulfil the service, meet any legal obligations and handle potential complaints or disputes. You may contact us at any time to ask about the personal data we hold and to request deletion where legally permissible.
Who we share data with
Your data is not sold to third parties. We may share data with:
- The Danish authorities as required to submit the marriage application on your behalf
- Danish municipalities as required for ceremony coordination
- Service providers we use to operate this website and manage case communication, to the extent required for those services
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.
